The 2017 Nissan GTR – The Supercar with Manners
2017 Nissan GTR Engine
Insane is putting it mildly. 565 horsepower now. 467 lb-ft of torque. The 2017 Nissan GTR’s handcrafted twin turbocharged V6 engine challenges the traditional thinking that you need a big displacement cylinder for massive power. What’s even more ridiculous is that the GTR runs so cleanly that it classifies as an ultra low emissions vehicle. What other supercar can say that? Combine this power with an AWD system that can deliver up to 100% of power to the rear wheels and you have acceleration that can’t be stopped.

You probably won’t be paying much attention to the bolstered leather-appointed seats, but you’ll be glad they’re there after a long trip or a day at the track. Nissan paid special attention to another place that will be taking up your attention: the multi-function digital display. Nissan contracted Polyphony Digital, the same company behind the Grand Turismo video game franchise, to develop the display. When you’re driving the GTR, you may have to pinch yourself to remind you that this is real life.
2017 Nissan GTR Handling
While the 2017 GTR may have a softer suspension, it certainly hasn’t gone soft. New tires with stiffer sidewalls reduce flex during high-speed handling, while the suspension’s revised valve timing, updated spring rates, new bushes and new rear anti-roll bar can actually improve road holding. That’s something you’ll want when you’re going around a corner on the track at over 100 mph and hit a bump. More importantly, this new suspension makes day-to-day driving a pleasure – another feature few other supercars share.
